Abstract :
In short base line (SBL) underwater acoustics (UWA) positioning systems, positioning accuracy depends mainly on the precision of time-delay difference estimation. This paper presents a highly-precise algorithm for time-delay difference of wideband signal, which provides strong practicality for underwater cooperative targets positioning. This algorithm employs phase difference of main lobes of peaks of correlation function to modify the value of time-delay difference, which improves precision of the time-delay difference estimation. Simulation and experiment results indicate that this method has good advantages.
