Abstract :
The channel estimation techniques for MIMO-OFDM system based on joint time-frequency analysis are investigated. The proposed channel estimation scheme is intended as an effective reference to performance evaluation measurement of others channel estimation methods. According to the defined uplink transmission and symbol structure in IEEE Std. 802-16d/e, linear interpolation LSE is given to compare performance with perfect channel estimation. Simulations show that up to 2 dB in BER can be gained over the LSE under SUI-1 when SNR exceeds 7 dB, however others offer no more than 2 dB.
