Abstract
Within this paper, the requirements on electronic active controllers being part of modern coil winding machines are discussed and compared to the largely used passive mechanical wire dereelers. Special emphasis is given to the control theory behind the execution of this relative new technology and the fields of application where electronic controllers have advantages over existing solutions. A view to the practical use and the operator´s day to day problems are always kept in mind
