Research on Copyright Authorization Mode under Digital Environment in China

Copyright authorization mode is an unavoidable issue to be confronted in digital era. There are approximately 7 copyright authorization modes in China. Each mode has its own characteristics, strength and weakness. Collective management of copyright is the most important mode of copyright authorization under digital environment. It serves as a bridge between the author and the users and is the most economic way in obtaining copyright authorization. Based on the fact that collective copyright management organizations in China are still under developed, four copyright authorization practices are recommended. However, the most fundamental and the final solution to having easier access to copyright authorization with lower costs is to define the rights to copyright and improve the collective management of the rights.
