Abstract :
The paper deals with the introduction of the Plug-in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (PHEV) in the urban and suburban areas considering their impact on the electric distribution grid. Indeed, an adequate recharge infrastructure, that requires an electric distribution system able to deliver the requested energy and power, is the base of the diffusion of the hybrid-electric vehicles. In this work a model for the different recharge station scenarios evaluation is presented. Moreover an algorithm for the optimal energy assignment strategy is considered. The obtained results will be useful to interface the recharge stations to urban and suburban electric transportation systems, as subways or regional trains, in order to exploit existing distribution infrastructure and the recovery braking energy.
