Abstract
This paper presents a control scheme that varies the switching frequency of switching power converter in order to improve its dynamic transient performance. The proposed method adaptively varies the switching frequency of the converter during transients as a function of the error signal. The control law and its implementation are presented. Experimental results from a proof of concept experimental prototype are presented that illustrates the dynamic performance improvement with the proposed control scheme.
