Abstract :
We consider transmission of two independent sources to a destination through a multiple-access relay channel in presence of noise. The goal is to design a network code at the relay to minimize the signal reconstruction distortion at the destination. The presented joint source channel and network coding schemes result in a nonlinear network code, that is implemented using a lookup table at the relay. Simulation results confirm that the proposed nonlinear network coding at the relay outperforms linear network coding.
