Abstract :
This paper deals with the Fuzzy Direct Power Control (F-DPC), a new control approach applied to shunt active filters. The F-DPC controller regulates the DC-link voltage, active and reactive power-flows of the power filter. The principle of this control is based on fuzzy controller. The steady and dynamic behaviors of DPC and F-DPC are presented to illustrate the operation and the performance of the proposed technique. Simulation results of the improved direct power control (F-DPC) are compared with that of the conventional DPC. Due to its high level of power quality improvement, the F-DPC could become an interesting alternative to conventional DPC techniques for power active filters.
