Abstract :
This paper presents experimental results for the transmission characteristics of seveal finite-width multilayered conductor-backed coplanar waveguides(FW-CBCPW). It is found that the resonance in the transmission of FW-CBCPW is caused by the energy leakage from the dominant CPW mode. Two multilayered structures are shown to be effective in eliminating the resonance. They are feasible and practical in uniplanar MMIC circuit design due to their planar nature.
