Abstract

The paper elaborates development and evolution of electronics and information technologies in the region of Shenzhen in recent 20 years. The electronics and information industry, developed on the basis of open innovation, gradually makes Shenzhen a global center of production, manufacture, logistics, R&D of electronic and information products. In this process, electronics and information industry in the region of Shenzhen has experienced a great change from technical introduction, cooperation, imitation to innovative study which is a model of open innovation without borders between enterprises. The paper summarizes experiences of electronics and information technologies on open innovation, studies the problems existing in Shenzhen´s electronics and information industry in the context of independent innovation emphasized by Chinese government and discuss the trend of government policies on open innovation.
