Abstract
The process of water distribution in slope is researched with the SWMS_2D model. The strength reduction of FLAC2D, which is based on unsaturated soil shear strength theory, is used to analysis slope stability. An example of a slope of road is simulated. The results showed that for a given rainfall, the soil moisture content and the pore water pressure increase with the decrease in the suction pressure of the unsaturated soils. The results also showed that the slope safety factor decrease. In the simulation carried out, the safety factor dropped to the minimum of 1.09 in 25 hours after rainfall.
