Abstract :
In storage and transmission, independent messages are often uniformly coded to meet various purposes. Considering this kind of process, we propose the concept of information carrying for data security. The procedure to append another kind of information to the media carrying a certain kind of information is called information carrying. Information is always stored and transmitted in a certain form, and images are good information carrier due to its large amount of data and redundancy. But in real application, images are often transmitted in compressed form. It is a key issue to combine data compression with information carrying, In this paper, we introduce a model for information carrying and design a scheme for the vector quantization method. Finally, the experiment results are given and analyzed, so the feasibility of carrying information is testified
