Abstract :
In this paper, the reasonable index system is established on informetrics theory firstly and then a evaluation is made on Chinese engineering universities scientifically and objectively from the aspects of research productive forces,research influence,research innovation power and research development strength.This paper takes engineering for example, using ESI (Essential Science Indicators) as original data. Our study reflects the position of Chinese "985" project universities by international level, promoting the internationalization of Chinese education.
