Abstract :
In this paper an optimized elliptical array antenna is presented. The side lobe level and directivity of the array is optimized using particle swarm based on fuzzy decision-making. In the implemented fuzzy system, inputs are parameters like population, and outputs are parameters such as some coefficient to produce the next generation. A fuzzy inference system is used for the control of the parameters of the particle swarm. Simulation results show the high quality of particle swarm optimization based on fuzzy logic. Amplitudes of the elliptical array antenna have been optimized with the novel design approach presented herein. This array can be used in a smart antenna in MIMO wireless communications systems.
