Abstract :
This paper introduced a new IP-storage protocol named Ata over Ethernet (AoE), then modeled and analyzed the performance of it. To prove the theoretical analysis, we tested AoE implementation under various system configurations, i.e., under different physical layer parameters. We found that both of them affect AoE performance at different levels. In addition, deficiency of AoE was also found, i.e., the acknowledge system is relatively poor.
