Abstract
Mobile technologies offer new opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). SMEs that develop a mobility strategy to prepare for the future are taking the first step to becoming "next-generation SMEs." This paper describes specific characteristics and advantages of next-generation small and medium enterprises, and highlights key issues and forward looking opportunities.
