Abstract :
Successful innovation and entrepreneurship demand a competent leader. This project found that a leader´s competency and thus the successful innovation and entrepreneurship mainly depend on the leader´s C.I-ability (Communication and Information processing). A straightforward, simple model is presented based on system dynamics, for which several new concepts are defined: the C.I.-ability archetype and Imagined Leverage. The out-of-proportion effect that single actions unknowingly and unwittingly have is recognized and defined as the Three-Singles-Effect. This report explains the few basic concepts that define and control leader competency, while another presents the model to quantify it, the resulting combination of simplicity and quantification being unique in competency modeling.
