Abstract :
The shape is an important quality indicator in the strip steel quality control. The shape control is the key technology in the modern production of high-quality strip steel. The shape information-obtaining technology which plays as the base of the shape control is particularly important in the modern high-precision automatic production process of strip steel shape. A dynamic shape information-obtaining technology based on improved laser triangular method is presented in this paper. The method which is based on the practical application of the shape control, adopted digital image-processing technology to complete the task of obtaining information of strip steel shape and analysis of its elongation calculation automatically. The information obtaining and description program about strip steel shape designed in this way could meet the demand of modern industrial automation.
