Abstract :
Now the city traffic development is rapid. The vessel collision force protection based on the probability method in AASHTO LRFD. Vessel-bridge collisions occur frequently, which cause the hidden troubles to the operation of bridges and ships, and thus induce a new research. In this paper, by using the fundamental dynamics principle of ship-bridge collision and mathematical probability statistics, the acceptable collision damage probability of bridge is analyzed, the numerical model of vessel-bridge collision is established, and the simulation analysis method is proposed. An feasible scheme and some related facilities for vessel collision force protection design are proposed, which can prevent vessel-bridge collision, and reduce the hidden troubles of collision, to assure the safety of both water and land traffic operation. In the future, it is expected that the clarification may provide reference for the vessel collision force protection for bridges in China.
