Abstract
A low power, low cost single-phase power line carrier watt-hour meter is designed based on the SoC power line carrier chip PL3201. In addition to the internal carrier spread spectrum communication unit in PL3201, the transmitter and receiver module is added to improve communication speed and anti-jamming capability. And the adjacent crosstalk problem is solved. Test results show that the accuracy of designed watt-hour meter reaches national standard 0.5s level standard requirements, current power consumption is 10μA when system is power down, electrostatic discharge immunity is 16KV.
