Abstract :
Some industrial processes control systems are characterized by large inertia, pure time-delay and parameters time-varying. It is hard to meet the technological requirements with conventional control method. An improved-type smith predictive fuzzy-PID composite control method was therefore presented, which is based on PID controller combined fuzzy logic and smith predictive controller. The new system has been tested on a lot of simulated plant models and demonstrated to have marked improvements in the control performance by comparison with the conventional system.
