Abstract :
Most forest simulation systems developed for a specific research objectives only use a growth model or simulation technology to simulate the single-granularity forest. It is very time consuming to recalculate growth model for the transformation between different granularity forest scenes. In order to realize the rapid transformation between different granularity forest scenes, this paper presents a method of multilevel linkage in virtual forest simulation information. This method builds the associations of different granularity forest scenes. It can realize continuous transformation from large granularity forest scenes to small granularity forest scenes, and vice versa. The experiment result shows that this method can effectively reduce the transformation time between different granularity forest scenes, and accelerate the rendering speed of large-scale forest scene.
