Abstract :
In Korea, a project named as 4S is currently being executed with the goal of nationwide integration of spatial data and spatial information systems. In the project, the technologies are being developed that integrate and interoperate four related systems: GIS, GNSS, SIIS, ITS. The main goal of 4S is to integrate the four systems and to remove the redundant time and effort of developing each system separately, which brings in synergy effect to each system. To accomplish the integration, we establish ISP for 4S as a supporting study. According to the specifications in ISP, technologies are classified and components are fisted. Based on the component specifications, we design the architecture of component-based 4S system and implement the components. The 4S technology and developed component will be effectively applicable to various fields related to spatial information.
