Abstract :
The paper presents a solar simulator for photovoltaic modules characterisation. We chose a “steady state” simulator with halogen lamps verifying if it is adequate for PV modules testing. For the spectral matching of solar spectrum and simulator spectrum we have developed a method of adequate correction considering both lamp spectral distribution and PV module spectral response. The evaluation of the simulator´s performance consisted of study of irradiance at test surface plane and temporal stability of irradiance
