Abstract
This paper is concerned with mathematical modeling of the intracranial aneurysm which has a form of a bulge in the intracranial artery. As a dynamical object the aneurysm is undergoing deformation caused by the variable blood pressure. Distending forces resulting from hemodynamic pressure may induce further enlargement of the aneurysm sack, thinning of the wall, and ultimately, its rupture. The proposed three-dimensional model describes deformations of the aneurysm wall and its stress distribution
