Abstract :
The efficiency of different atmospheric correction methods is studied, using a Landsat 5 TM image of an area with complex physiography and geomorphology. Taking into account the optical qualitative characteristics of the processed images, the statistical features of their histograms and their spatial frequency content, it is concluded that, for the area under study, the technique of the absolute atmospheric correction with the parameters of a maritime atmosphere gives the best results.
