Abstract :
Compressed images are usually used in biomedical data transmission and storage. They play an significant role in diagnostic and interventional radiology since they can contain data from different (separately) biomedical instrumental techniques: MRI, angiography, CT, etc.. In this context, an appropriate methodology of removing artifact has a primary importance in order to improve signal-to-noise ratio. In this paper we propose a quick methodology of helping radiologists and clinicians in assessing particular diagnosis. The suggested methodology is based on Hough transform to be compared, in terms of efficiency, with other ones related to blocking artifact evaluation
