Abstract
Knowledge sharing ( KS ) is an important area of knowledge management (KM).This study has examined the relationship between knowledge sharing and organizational cultures in education. We find that organizational culture can affect its members´ knowledge sharing behavior. Knowledge sharing appears a common occurrence for both teaching department and administrative department, and the innovative and surpportive culture encourages knowledge sharing in the sample. Moreover, the different hierarchical levels within large colleges and universities also have differing needs for knowledge sharing.
