Abstract :
This document describes the design process for realizing a facility for accurate measurement of antenna radiation patterns from 400 MHz to 40 GHz. The best facility for this purpose is a tapered anechoic chamber. A tapered chamber, however, may not be the most suitable solution if a frequency dependent measurement is to be performed in the facility. Rectangular chambers are more common and more suitable for frequency dependent measurements buy it may have to be prohibitively large to obtain the required performance at the low frequencies.
