Abstract :
The most important advantages of microstrip antennas are their favourable qualities in setting up array antennas. Hence microstrip array antennas are very suitable for building antennas with special shaped radiation patterns or for phased array applications. As an example for beam shaping the developement of a planar X-band array with a 60° sector pattern is presented.
