Abstract :
Rapidly developing technology has now entered into every area of our lives. Health is a part of our daily lives and it provides convenience us in many areas such as communication, entertainment, food and education. With the development of technology and increasing of importance of life-long learning concept, distance education has become more important increasingly. Having opportunities such as time and space independence, synchronous or asynchronous, distance learning has been a training model highly preferred in-service training with advantages of quick feedback and being more economical. Agricultural Distance Education Project covers the agriculturists, qualified personnel, meteorology experts, covers veterinaries and social sciences educators. They can develop themselves with training videos belonging to areas such as veterinary medicine in this project. At the same time farmers and specialized personnel can get support from trainings related to growing crops, harvesting and all other agricultural activities by using tablet or computer. In this study as well as definition of distance education, general descriptions related to advantages provided by it are given, information is presented about the Agricultural Distance Education Project.
