Abstract :
In this paper we present an investigation of microstrip H-shaped antenna aperture-coupled to a microstrip feedline for phased array applications. We model this type of antenna using a full-wave EM simulator and calculate both the current distribution and the far-field radiation pattern. We fabricate an antenna of this type and investigate issues of impedance matching experimentally. The experimental results are described.
