Abstract
Spatial error concealment plays an important role to improve the video performance in wireless video transmission. Most existing spatial error concealment techniques are based on edge detection around the lost macroblocks (MBs). In order to search the edges more efficiently, we propose a new thresholds selection scheme. Based on it, a new spatial error concealment method is proposed in this paper, which uses adaptive thresholds for pixel interpolation. Simulation results report that our proposed method outperforms other spatial error concealment methods significantly in video quality.
