Abstract :
In this paper a soft output detector for a MIMO-CDMA system with data-dependent spreading waveforms is proposed. In such systems, the spreading waveforms used by transmit antennas are dependent on the transmitting data. The proposed soft output detector calculates the reliability of each detected bits in terms of LLRs, hence an outer convolutional encoder with soft input Viterbi decoder is used to further enhance BER performance. Simulation results show that the proposed system outperforms the conventional coded MIMO-CDMA systems at high SNRs.
