Abstract :
The PowerPoint presentation reviews the origins of the programming languages used in IEC 61131-3, a standard for industrial control programming. The member companies of the PLCopen Association is presented. PLCopen is a vendor and platform independent association that resolves topics related to control programming and supports international standards in the field. The uses of 3S CoDeSys, motion control function blocks, good programming practices, controller flexibility and an application example of IEC 61131-3 in CAM following are discussed.
