Abstract
This paper discusses applications of a class of reflecting optical components, called Compound Parabolic Concentrators (CPC) to diode lasers. Their performances and design are evaluated at the aid of ray-tracing methods. The simulation will report conclusions on the efficiency of CPC and compare its performances against those of standard optics.
