Abstract
Wireless relays extend coverage, improve spectral efficiency, and enhance reliability and rates of wireless communication systems. In this work, we introduce a three-hop cooperative system model comparing to conventional dual-hop cooperative systems, assuming all terminals can only share a part of power for cooperation and have only one antenna for size limitation. Applying distributed space time block coding to this system model, system performance is greatly improved even when relays contribute a little power to cooperation, which is verified by simulation results.
