Abstract :
An ultra-wideband printed slot antenna with the function of wireless local area network band rejection has been designed. The proposed antenna is fed by a 50 ohms microstrip. The proposed antenna consists of a circular radiating patch, a circular slot, and two U-shaped slots. Simulated results show that the proposed UWB antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 2.8 GHz - 11.0 GHz with VSWR less than 2, which covers the UWB spectrum. A notched band on the 5 GHz WLAN band is obtained by dual U-shape slots on the ground plane to minimize the interferences between UWB systems and WLAN systems. Details results of the proposed antenna such as VSWR, radiation pattern, and antenna peak gain are presented and discussed.
