Abstract :
We propose a video streaming service system based on cell phones in mobile environments. The system makes it easy for cell phone users to watch video contents without any special hardware or software. The system uses core technologies of the "ubiquitous discovery service platform"; it recognizes the ID of associated video content from an object\´s "Visualtag" which is based on geometric invariants. The system discovers the most suitable video format from the object-ID, has interfaces for packet and circuit switching. We describe a prototype system built on the mobile network in Japan.
