Abstract
A matched filter bound for BPSK modulation used on a dispersive Rician fading channel with arbitrary Doppler rate is presented. An analytical expression is derived for the moment generating function of the signal sample at the matched filter output and used to calculate the bit error rate (BER). The BER performance is found to generally improve with increasing fading rate. The analysis for multiple beam channel models allows for arbitrary correlation and delays among the beams.
