Abstract
When performing a joint action in which more than two persons cooperate to achieve a common goal, the same or similar task may be practiced individually before the joint action. The partner(s) also perform the same task with you either beside you or at a place where you cannot see the performance. This study examined the implicit effects of such a preliminary interaction between people on interpersonal coordination in subsequent joint action. The results suggest that a partner´s presence during preliminary individual practice could affect an error correction process in the subsequent joint action.
