Abstract :
The automatic measurement system of dam perpendicular is design for the dam safety monitoring requirements. The system is mainly composed of the light source module, system hardware and system software. Using ARM7 as the core of the system, ARM7 drives CCD through certain time sequence. The parallel light which is made by myself projet the dam plumb line to the CCD, then CCD output video analog voltage. The voltage signal will be passed back to the ARM7 after be modulated. Digital signal will be collect and processed to obtain corresponding displacement by ARM7. Then through the displacement and angle relation easily calculate the tilt angle data. Tilt angle data will be sent to the PC through the network interface. According to the data, the PC makes forecasts about dam deformation. The staff can real-time observe the dam deformation and does not need frequently go into the dam internal. It will provide convenience for dam safety monitoring.
