Abstract :
Radio frequency identification (RFID) systems are becoming ubiquitous. Simultaneous transmissions in RFID systems lead to collisions as the readers and tags typically operate on the same channel. Therefore, anti-collision protocol is very important for solving the collision problem in RFID application system. This paper analyzes the primary anti-collision protocols for solving the collision problem in RFID tag identification, especially a novel and efficient anti-collision protocol, named collision tree protocol (CT), which stands for a new branch of tree-based anti-collision protocol for RFID tag identification.
