Abstract :
This paper clarifies the effect of the metal wire on the channel capacity in the near-field MIMO system. The metal wire is placed near the dual-dipole arrays, which can adjust the HPBW (half-power beamwidth) of the element radiation pattern. It is verified that the metal wire placed at an appropriate location can even make the system channel capacity exceed that without a metal wire. And the optimum location of the metal wire and the maximum channel capacity are affected by the HPBW. It is found that the impacts of multiple metal wires in the system can be regarded as the accumulation of every single one.
