Abstract :
Surveys three areas of rapid technology advancement that have the potential for significant improvements in data fusion/C3MIS systems over the next decade: the area of tracker-correlators to achieve consistent tracking performance over a wide range of target and background conditions. Symbolic computational methods and artificial intelligence techniques which provide perceptual interpretation, intelligent reasoning, and learning capabilities for fusion. Parallel and high-connected processor/memory architectures which enhance the speed, fault-tolerance and associative capabilities of data fusion system implementations
