Abstract
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a special wireless network, which is a multi-hop temporary autonomous system of mobile nodes with wireless transmitters and receivers without the aid of pre-established network infrastructure. The routing protocol in traditional network is not fit for ad hoc network. Anycast is a new communication protocol, which can balance network load and improve network performance effectively. The paper introduces the character and routing protocol in MANET and proposes an efficient anycast routing protocol. The testing results show that the protocol gets higher average packet delivery ratio and low outing overhead packets.
