Abstract :
A comparative study of some existing microstrip three-way power divider/combiner networks with very high combining efficiency is presented. Four topologies are compared to each other and also to the standard corporate four-way structure. All the studied topologies have shown a good performance with less than ¿0.3 dB loss over the frequency band 1.7-2.1 GHz. The best simulation and measurement results have been obtained with the two-stage three-way fork divider with a combining efficiency of 95.7% (< ¿0.2 dB loss) over the frequency band of interest.
