Abstract
In this paper, a miniaturized omni-directional antenna based on Composite Right and Left Handed (CRLH) structure is proposed. The resonance frequency, the total gain are observed at 5 GHz, 1.15 dB respectively. This design exhibits a bandwidth of 400MHz and has a simple mushroom structure with a small size of 5mm * 5mm * 6.7mm ( λ0/12* λ0/12* λ0/ 9). The proposed antenna can be used to the IEEE 802.11a standard for WLAN and WiFi.
