Abstract :
This work uses a hybrid technique based on the coupled mode method and the modal matching method to analyze structures with multiple discontinuities between rectangular waveguides with different cross-sections that are partially filled with isotropic or anisotropic media. This technique allows the generalized scattering matrix to be obtained without using numerical integrations. The results obtained with this technique agree very well with measurements.
