Abstract :
The diameter of the fundus vessel is an important indicator for some diseases like diabetes, hypertension and arteriosclerosis. Thus the evaluation of the vessel diameter by processing the fundus fluorescence angiography (FFA) image is of highly diagnostic value. Before the measurement of the vessel diameter, the brightness and contrasts of the FFA image were firstly adjusted by means of window display technique. Then the vessel edges were extracted by employing wavelet technique, and then continuous edges were obtained based on fractal technique. Finally, according to the scale coefficient, the value of funds vessel diameter was acquired. The process of vessel diameter measurement by the FFA image may provide some key information in the diagnosis and treatment of those funds related diseases.
